October 2009, glad to see you go. The month was not at all usual. It started off with layoff rumors at work, the first weekend a tragic accident happened to my young neighbor that will stay with me forever. Work continues to be frustrating with the low volume of projects and high number of contractors chasing the few projects. To put nearly countless hours and thought into how to build a job, find all the suppliers and vendors, explain the project to the sometimes hundreds of bidders and then panick to think you may have missed something all for not when the final numbers are read at the bid openings you wear you down to a frazzle. Spent, used up, drained, only to have to do it all over again with even more pressure to get even more numbers from the subcontractors, vendors and suppliers trying to get low, only to do it all over again. Then there’s the weather that wasn’t typical for Oklahoma in October, cooler, wetter than normal. Depressing nearly every day.

November promises to be better as it is one of my favorite months and work should have a few more projects to hopefully have a better chance at some decent projects. We all hope for everyone to be employed as it doesn’t do the country any good to keep having people, families lose their jobs. The prices are low now and items are plentiful but given time, perhaps a short time, things will spike in price as supplies dwindle and fewer companies are left.  Let’s all pray November is better.

The Afghan war has also got to get better as October was the worst since the start of the war 8 years ago. President Obama may finally getting it and will stop standing on the hose and let the troops flow into the country and stomp out the enemy where they live. Again November has got to be better. Join me in praying it will.

Hello world!

First the name, The OK one, started in 1993 with a move to Oklahoma from Michigan and a way to differentiate from the rest of the family when corresponding. The Oklahoma one was shortened to the OK one and in that a guidance was given to me as a new light when thinking how I see the world. From the prospective of the one that is OK and forever on the look out for the justice or injustice there is all around us, evil, back stabbers and trends that lead us unto the path of destruction. Ladies and Gentlemen we are well on our way to hell as the human race and people need to stop the trend and turn things around now to better mankind before those with common sense and proper upbringing are all but a memory.

The task is not up to the Yale and Harvard graduates as they are the ones who helped lead us into this mess, not only here in America, but throughout the world. Greed,  self-righteousness , and a snobbish way left those at the top out of touch with reality on how to serve mankind through government and not become the supreme rulers of mankind through government.  Our founding Fathers warned us of this very thing. With the current state of governments around the world and the lawlessness of those that are not right with God, one can see the need for the OK one to speak out from time to time.

You may be asking yourself right now what is he talking about? For just an example of the vile out there let keep our prayers with the little girl being picked off by predators, raped and killed, then dispose of like trash in a land fill. (see the news out of Florida, why so many in Florida?) Young women snatched up after a concert or shopping trip never to be seen again. What has happened to us? Why.

Drug lords (yes that is a small l used here as they are really not lords but punks) controlling a city that just won out over others for the Olympics and these punks even shot down a police helicopter in broad daylight. No fear from anyone or self-respect, just animals gone wild. Oh there is a lot more if one looks around at the world, check out Africa or Pakistan right now. Mexico can’t even keep their Judges safe from the drug lords, let alone the police on the streets.

We all have allowed this to happen by allowing the governments, the elected ones to stray from the right, as in the right thing to do. God as our compass, our moral bearing in what we do when given the task of governing. Ask yourself a couple of simple questions.

Do you allow people to do drugs around you? Do you say “it’s alright it’s just a little pot”. As entire families are killed in the drug trafficking wars to get them that little pot.

Do you allow free and open sex without questioning the moral obligations to society? So it is okay for children to be put into the sex trade in Thailand then since sex is okay for you without obligation or morals it shouldn’t be judged over there either. Right?

Oh I here you now, but those are children and that is different. I’m sorry, maybe we should think about the children then for a minute. You know the ones, the ones that have 4 or 5 brothers and sisters from 4 or 5 sperm donors and their mother’s not sure who the dad’s are. Look at these poor children and how life will be perceived when they get older. Remember you are what you have learned from the center of your universe. Good can come out of these families but there had to be some good in there from someone.  I can’t be a gangster, nor can I be an African bushmen or an English gentleman without having lived in that environment. Ask yourself now, how do I want my children and grandchildren raised? We are allowing anything and everything to happen all around us without even a thought as to how to correct or stop it. Children shooting children in drive bys at the bus stops, school dances and local parks. They will grow up thinking first it is okay to ___ (fill in the blank with what ever they believe to be right) because I saw it many times when I was a kid by the people who raised me to be how things are to be done. It must be right!

These post won’t have all the answers or even some answers but will let you know that the OK one is out there watching, helping and most of all praying, that we all may be delivered from Evil.
